Pella Careers

Student center

Finding, training, and hiring future leaders are priorities at Pella Corporation. That’s why we actively seek out the best and brightest students from across the country.

Internships/Co-ops

Pella Corporation offers a world-class Internship/Co-op program. Our goal is to provide challenging work experiences that build on classroom studies and facilitate opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.

All interns/co-ops are important and productive members of the Pella team. They’ll have work responsibilities similar to entry-level professionals — but with extra support and opportunities tailored to a college student’s needs.

The Recruitment Process

  1. Meet with Pella Corporation representatives at your college/university career fair or during an on-campus interview.

Career fair and interview dates are posted in career centers and academic departments on campus, or you can use the event finder above.
  2. Candidates who are most likely to be successful in our internship/co-op program will be invited to one of Pella Corporation’s locations for our on-site interview process.
  3. We'll further explore your interests and abilities while we discuss your potential role on the Pella team.

The Comprehensive Program

There are five components to our Internship/Co-op Program.

1. Professional Development

Pella Corporation develops interns/co-ops by providing training, coaching, and various activities including corporate orientation, manager/mentor relationships, regular feedback, job shadowing and team participation. Interns/co-ops may also apply for a tuition scholarship.

2. Leadership Development

Pella Corporation develops interns/co-ops as future leaders both professionally and personally. The program includes lessons, activities, day trips, speakers, and the opportunity to interact with Pella’s Executive Leadership.

3. Diversity

Teamwork is a key part of the corporate culture at Pella Corporation. Diversity awareness and education is one way Pella Corporation seeks to ensure that all teams include ideas from many different points of view.

4. Community Relations

Pella Corporation interns/co-ops get involved in the Pella community by participating in a variety of charitable events.

5. College Relations

During and after our interns’/co-ops’ time with Pella Corporation, they may have valuable professional development opportunities to represent our company at various on-campus activities, such as career fairs, peer presentations and science fair judging.

Hands-on experience—
and learning the whole business

“During my six-month Pella co-op, I was responsible for projects that directly affected the product and production. My mentor and the engineering team offered their experience and guidance with each new project challenge. I was able to take control as project manager, engage in problem-solving, and enhance relationships with vendors. The program also provided leadership training and many fun, hands-on activities, supplemented with insight and career advice from Pella’s leadership team.

“In addition, the Pella community provided opportunities to grow outside of work. For me, this included coaching soccer and volunteering in other youth activities. I completed my internship with a job offer, a scholarship, some great experiences and a career direction."
