Double-hung windows

Double-hung windows combine a traditional style with ventilation flexibility. Both sashes open — a little or a lot. To open the windows, you raise or lower each sash. For natural ventilation control, lower the top sash to let the warm air that rises to the ceiling outside, or raise the bottom sash to let cool air flow inside.
