In 2012, Chris and his family moved to Casper where he spent his summers playing American Legion baseball and attended Kelly Walsh High School. After graduating high school in 2014, he attended Casper College for two years then transferred to the University of Kansas, where he received a degree in Marketing and Business.

After graduating college, he accepted a role at Pella of Wyoming in Sales.
