Before and After: Black Windows Modernize Waukee Home

Built in 2000, this Waukee home sported windows that were over 20 years old. The homeowners were pleased with the two decades of performance, but felt it was time to update the look and feel of their home. Replacing the traditional white windows and doors with black frames helped modernize the home. The existing wood windows were starting to look faded and distressed. Plus, the homeowners’ style had changed over the years and they now wished for a bolder and more contemporary aesthetic. Not only did the color black make a significant difference to the home’s style, but the removal of grilles also helped refine the look.
