Reflecting on our Roots: Past to Present
Our journey began in the 1930s when the Ron Johnson family became the first Pella distributorship in central Minnesota. Known as Pella Products, we originally offered windows and doors. In April 1997, Pella Corporation acquired the business as a corporately owned subsidiary. The headquarters relocated to Plymouth, MN in 1998, with an expansion into Fargo, ND in 2001.

In 2011, Ed Engelbrecht, a 30-year employee of Pella Corporation, acquired the distributorship, founding Pella Northland. Under Ed's leadership, the business flourished, marked by investments in new showrooms across Woodbury, Plymouth, Rochester, Eau Claire and Fargo. In 2019, entrepreneur and business executive Peter Martin joined as President and Owner. He oversees a team of over 150 employees serving customers throughout Minnesota, Eastern North Dakota and Western Wisconsin.
