As part of the greater Oklahoma City metro area, Guthrie is a suburb on the north side. In the center of Guthrie is this 60-year-old assisted living facility, providing its residents with comfort, care and a sense of community. To better serve seniors who live there, the facility’s leadership wanted to replace all the outdated, single-pane aluminum windows across the building. Not only did the old windows detract from the building's aesthetic appeal, but they also failed to provide adequate insulation against the sweltering Oklahoma heat. The project’s contractor chose Pella of Oklahoma as their preferred partner for this job. We recommended new energy-efficient windows that would both improve indoor comfort and enhance the building’s aesthetic.

Energy-Efficient Windows Enhance Comfort for Senior Residents

Our team rose to the challenge, supplying new energy-efficient fiberglass windows. Compared to the original single-pane windows, the new windows with multiple panes of glass are much more energy efficient. They provide superior thermal insulation, reducing heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer. This results in a more consistent indoor temperature and reduced reliance on heating and cooling systems, leading to potential energy savings and lower utility bills. Gone are the days of sweltering heat permeating through outdated windows. Instead, residents now enjoy a comfortable living space year-round, enhancing their overall quality of life. Having multiple panes of glass also helps minimize outdoor noises. This is particularly beneficial for senior residents seeking a quieter and more peaceful living space.

Black Windows Lend Modern Appeal to 60-Year-Old Building

While improved energy efficiency was the primary goal of this project, aesthetics are always important, too. The original silvery-white colored aluminum windows were looking dull and lackluster. They were aging the building, making this assisted living facility seem outdated and unappealing. For a more modern aesthetic, we installed new black windows throughout the entire building. These windows completely transform the look and feel of the facility, both inside and out. The sleek lines and bold finish lend contemporary style, elevating its overall visual appeal. This updated aesthetic creates a welcoming atmosphere, reinforcing the facility's commitment to providing a comfortable and inviting home for its residents.

On-Time Project Completion Minimizes Disruption to Residents

The contractor of this project was impressed by our team’s timeliness and expertise. We partnered together to keep the job running smoothly and on schedule. For residents of an assisted living facility, routine and stability are often paramount to their well-being and comfort. A smooth and timely window replacement process ensures minimal disruption to their daily lives, preventing unnecessary stress or discomfort. Moreover, the quick completion of this commercial window replacement project allowed residents to begin enjoying the benefits of improved energy efficiency and comfort sooner.

By choosing Pella Impervia fiberglass windows, this assisted living facility not only achieves a stunning visual upgrade but also improves energy efficiency and enhances comfort for its residents. We enjoyed working with the facility’s leaders and the contractor to make this project a success.
