Modern Windows and Doors for Mountain Green Home

Located North of Salt Lake City rests the mountainous town of Mountain Green, Utah. Known for its proximity to the popular Adams Canyon Trailhead, this quiet neighborhood is home to abundant natural beauty with many outdoor spaces to enjoy. We had the opportunity to help construct this beautiful new home and equip it with a variety of windows and doors to fit its contemporary aesthetic.

One of the goals of the window placement in this space was to make the living area feel as large as possible. We created floor-to-ceiling windows by combining the picture windows on top with the awning windows on the bottom for ventilation. Along the roofline, we also added clerestory windows to maximize lighting in the space.

The expansive patio door allows entertaining to spill over from the inside living space onto the patio. With these windows covering most of the living room walls, it’s easy to feel like you are outside and enjoying mountain life with a beautiful view.         

With this new build, we were very intentional about using black windows and doors throughout the home. We also color matched the hardware to be black so that nothing distracts from the sightlines in the space. Black is a very modern color, so we recommended to use it throughout the home to complement the modern wood accents used on the interior and exterior of the home.

Throughout the home, we wanted to include lots of natural lighting to make the space feel as close to the natural scenery of the property as possible. The 4-panel sliding patio doors create the ultimate gateway to  indoor outdoor living. The sliding patio doors open along a track as to not require additional floor space and give more room for entertaining. These homeowners are able to enjoy entertaining either by the pool, in their basement recreation room or throughout any other open space in their home.

This beautifully designed home was able to come to life and encompass the beautiful surrounding mountains with the help of Pella Utah. With an emphasis on entertaining and contemporary aesthetics, we were able to provide a stylized and cohesive approach to the windows and doors in this home. We know that these homeowners will enjoy the long-lasting beauty of their home and make the most of their indoor outdoor living spaces.
